Australia is in Oceania, south of Indonesia, bounded on the west by the Indian Ocean. It is a self-governing dominion of the British Commonwealth. British colonies that issued stamps, but are now part of Australia include New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania.
