John F. Kennedy Stamps
John F. Kennedy is one of the most popular figures to be depicted on postage stamps from around the world. Collectors of JFK stamps are particularly eager to collect any stamps that even remotely connect to the 35th President of the United States, and will include any mention of the word Kennedy in their collections, from his brothers Robert F and Ted Kennedy, to Kennedy Airport in New York, to NASA's Kennedy Space Center. In addition to being the President of the United States, he was the commander of PT-109 during World War II, and an accomplished author, writing a book "Profiles in Courage" that won a Pulitzer Prize, and was also both a Congressman and Senator from his home state of Massachusetts. He was the youngest elected to the office, at the age of 43, the second-youngest President (after Theodore Roosevelt). Kennedy was not without controversy, accused of having an affair with movie star and sex goddess Marilyn Monroe. You will find this depicted in numerous stamps that feature Kennedy. However, his accomplishments in his three short years as President were significant, and he continues to rank highly in public opinion ratings of former U.S. Presidents.
